Hornbill Festival Packages
A good Hornbill package buys three things: a bed within reach of Kisama, entry passes without queueing, and a driver who knows the hill. Everything else is decoration. Here is how to judge any package, ours included, before you pay.
What a package must include
- Stay within 30 minutes of Kisama. Kohima is 12km; “Guwahati-based” packages mean 6+ hour days.
- Festival entry passes. Ticket reality here.
- All ground transport from Dimapur or Guwahati, not “on request”.
- Permit handling: the ILP is waived during Hornbill week, but only that week.
The honest math vs DIY
