Bomdila sits at about 8,000ft on the Tawang road: the upper and lower gompas, apple-and-kiwi orchards on the slopes, and viewpoint ridges looking toward the Gorichen range. It is the classic first overnight after Tezpur and Bhalukpong.
Best time: March-June and September-November.
