Namdapha runs from the Noa-Dehing plains to Himalayan snow, nearly 2,000 sq km of untouched forest, and is famous as the only park on earth with four big-cat species recorded: tiger, leopard, snow leopard and clouded leopard. Birding here is legendary, with wren-babblers, hornbills and the rare white-bellied heron in the wider landscape.
Visits run as camping treks along the forest track to Deban and beyond, with Lisu guides from Gandhigram.
