Group Bookings: How Our Pricing Tiers Work, Transparently

By Mapping Memories · Updated 2026-10-02

A traditional Naga wrestling bout, representative of festival groups

Our group pricing is tiered per seat: the more seats, the lower each one costs, because fixed costs spread. That sentence is the whole mechanics; the honest detail follows.

What scales and what does not

  • Scales down per head: vehicle hire, guide days, camp setup, kitchen.
  • Does not scale: entry passes, beds, food portions, permits. Each seat pays these honestly.
  • Fixed, once per group: planning, paperwork, the WhatsApp thread.

Sample math, camp-based Hornbill week

Small group (4-6): full per-seat price. Standard block (8-12): a visible step down. Big block (15+): the best per-seat number plus a free organizer seat, our standard for college and corporate groups. Exact numbers are always in the price list PDF, not behind a call.

Why we publish prices

Every operator’s “request a quote” hides either margin or embarrassment. Published prices keep us honest and let you compare the DIY math directly. If a competitor quotes lower, ask the five questions from the how to choose guide.

Quick answers

Do group trips get cheaper with more people? Yes, in steps: the fixed costs amortize.

Is there an organizer discount? Blocks of 15+ carry one free seat, standard.

Do you do custom private groups? Yes: private versions of every fixed departure, priced on the same tiers.
