Meghalaya’s cliff country holds most of them: Sohra’s big falls, the swimmable Jaintia ones and the gorge secrets.
The Northeast’s waterfall story is really a Meghalaya story with supporting acts elsewhere: the Sohra escarpment throws the giants (Nohkalikai, Seven Sisters, Dainthlen), the Jaintia Hills hold the swimmable ones (Krang Suri, Wei Sawdong), and the gorges hide the treks-to-reach (Rainbow Falls).
Waterfall season is a choice: monsoon for force, winter for access and swimming.
