Roing sits under the Dibang valley wall in Idu Mishmi country: the Mehao lake forest walk, the old Bhismaknagar ruins, and the road up through Mayudia pass toward Anini. Reh, the Idu Mishmi festival, fills the town in early February.
Best time: October-April.
