Rainbow Falls is the deep-gorge reward beyond Nongriat: a few hours of root bridges, bamboo steps and boulder-hops to a tall fall off a black rock face. Sun hitting the spray throws the rainbow that names it, strongest in high-water months.
Best time: Post-monsoon and winter for footing; monsoon for force (with a guide).
