Chakhesang, Pochury, Angami (Khezhakeno side) call Phek home, and the district's calendar centres on Tsükhenyie (May), Yemshe (Oct). Every tribe also brings its culture to the <a href="/hornbill-festival/">Hornbill Festival</a> each December, the easiest way to meet all of Nagaland’s communities in one trip.
Why travellers come
Phek is Nagaland's agricultural showpiece, the Chakhesang terraces that climb entire valleys, and Khezhakeno, the village the migration legends of several tribes pass through. Chakhesang wrestling is the district's signature sport.
