Do Indians need an Inner Line Permit for Hornbill?

By Mapping Memories · Updated 2026-11-01

Quick answer: The ILP is waived for festival visitors during Hornbill week (December 1–10). Carry a government photo ID. Outside those dates it is ₹200 online for 30 days.

Part of the permits & documents doubts people send us before booking the Hornbill Festival. Everything below is how the trip actually works when you travel with us.

Do you arrange the permit? Is it in the price? Inside festival week there is nothing to arrange; outside it we walk you through the online ILP in minutes. Permit handling is an included line-item.

What documents should travellers carry? Government photo ID (Aadhaar, DL or passport), booking confirmation and your return ticket. No passport needed for Indians.
