Escape to

The forbidden-looking valley 29km from Tibet.
Quick answer. Deep winter at altitude. Snow closes or slows high passes; Sela conditions rule the Tawang circuit. For Mechuka specifically, January is a comfortable month with the usual hill-state caveats.
