People & festivals
Sümi call Zunheboto home, and the district's calendar centres on Tuluni (July), Ahuna (November). Every tribe also brings its culture to the <a href="/hornbill-festival/">Hornbill Festival</a> each December, the easiest way to meet all of Nagaland’s communities in one trip.
Why travellers come
Zunheboto is Sümi country, the warrior tribe whose hospitality is legendary. Tuluni in July fills the district with feasting; the Satoi range holds some of Nagaland's last great continuous forests.
