Lotha call Wokha home, and the district's calendar centres on Tokhu Emong (November). Every tribe also brings its culture to the <a href="/hornbill-festival/">Hornbill Festival</a> each December, the easiest way to meet all of Nagaland’s communities in one trip.
Why travellers come
Wokha is the Lotha homeland and the district where the Amur falcon story made world news, hundreds of thousands of falcons roost on Doyang's banks each October–November on their way from Siberia to Africa. Tokhu Emong in November closes the Lotha harvest year.
Getting there
