By flight
Fly Faridabad → Delhi → Dimapur. The Delhi–Dimapur leg has daily non-stops; book the whole thing as one ticket. From Faridabad itself, the practical airport is Delhi.
By train
Long-haul trains toward Delhi, then the Dibrugarh/Guwahati expresses into Dimapur, 30h+. Flying wins for a 3–4 day festival trip.

Arrival timing
Pickup batches leave Dimapur at 6:00 AM or 10:30 AM (airport and railway station both). Land by the evening before and we add a night near the station, or land by ~10:00 AM on Day 1 and go straight up the hill. Later than that and you miss the first festival afternoon.
