Nameri is the quiet one: a foothill forest along the Jia Bhoreli river where the activities are soft, rafting the river’s easy grades, angling (catch-and-release mahseer), and forest walks with guides because there are no jeep roads inside.
Birders rate it among India’s best for the white-winged wood duck. The Eco-Camp on the river bank is the classic stay.
