Dibrugarh is Upper Assam’s hub: an airport and railhead wrapped in tea estates, with the Namphake Buddhist monastery village (Tai-Phake heritage) a short drive out and roads leading to Roing and Namdapha (Arunachal) and Mon country (Nagaland).

It is the practical launch for eastern Arunachal and the far corners of Assam.
