Dibru-Saikhowa is a riverine park you explore by water, not by road: boat safaris through flooded forest and grass islands, with feral horses (descendants of WWII-era stock) on the banks and hoolock gibbon and dolphins in the channels.
The Maguri-Motapung beel at the park edge is one of Assam’s best birding wetlands.
