Land of the Siang in

Pasighat in March

The Adi town where the Siang enters the plains.

Quick answer. Spring begins. The central circuit (Tezpur-Bhalukpong-Bomdila-Dirang-Tawang, about 350km) improves as days warm. For Pasighat specifically, March is a comfortable month with the usual hill-state caveats.

Pasighat is the region’s oldest administrative town, on the Siang (Tsangpo-become-Brahmaputra) where it exits the gorge: Adi cultural heartland, Daying Ering wildlife sanctuary in the river, and the junction of routes to Yingkiong, Aalo and the Assam plains.
