Lose yourself in

Namdapha National Park in November

India’s wildest biodiversity ark.

Quick answer. Late autumn. Cold nights begin at altitude; days stay clear. For Namdapha National Park specifically, November is a comfortable month with the usual hill-state caveats.

Why November here

Nearly 2,000 sq km of forest from plains to snow, the only park with four big-cat species recorded.

Namdapha runs from the Noa-Dehing plains to Himalayan snow, nearly 2,000 sq km of untouched forest, and is famous as the only park on earth with four big-cat species recorded: tiger, leopard, snow leopard and clouded leopard. Birding here is legendary, with wren-babblers, hornbills and the rare white-bellied heron in the wider landscape.
